Mrs. Inez Madden O'Barr, 90, of 576 Greenway Upholstery Road, widow of the late John Edward O'Barr, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Hart County Hosptial.
Born on July 11, 1921 in Hartwell, GA she was the daughter of the late William Ira Madden and Myra Ella Osborne Madden.She was a member of Reed Creek Baptist Church, and was retired from Monroe Automotive.
Survivors include one daughter, Frances O. Lathan and her husband James, of Hartwell; two sons: Randall Edward O'Barr and his wife, Vera of Mt. Airy, GA and James Ike O'Barr of Hartwell; one sister, Wilma Farrington of Greensboro, NC; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. O'Barr was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers: Coleman Madden, Kermit Madden, Dupree Madden and Ibra Madden; and four sisters: Tonnie Sue Baker, Mildred Pinson, Marie Kirkman, and Mamie Cohen.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Sam Delaney and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Burial will follow in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Mitch Slaton officiating.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday.The family is at the home of Frances and James Lathan, 890 Greenway Upholstery Road, Hartwell, GA30643.
