Mr. Inman Temple, 88, of 545 Cook Street, Royston, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center.
Born on August 16, 1924 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Reece Temple and Mary Frye Temple.Mr. Temple was an Agricultural Businessman and the Owner/Operator of Temple Gin Company in Hartwell.He attended Clemson University and the University of Georgia, was a member of the Bowersville Masonic Lodge #595, the Hartwell Shrine Club and Bethany Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Betty Irvin Temple; a son, Ike Temple and his wife Allison of Canon; a daughter, Mary Ann Wright and her husband Donald of Hartwell; four grandchildren: Harley Waller, Marisa Campbell, Haley Temple, Hilary Temple; five great-grandchildren: Chase Waller, Farrah King, Cescily King, Echota Campbell, and Tilley Campbell.Mr. Temple was preceded in death by his parents; and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
