Obituary
Mr. Inman Wayne "Cootie" Thrasher, 84, of 2910 Ridge Rd, Hartwell, died Friday, April 23, 2010 at his home.
Born in Hart Co. GA, he was the son of the late Frank Henry Thrasher and Cecil Adams Thrasher.He was retired from Mathis & Vandiver Construction, a member of the Hartwell First Baptist Church, Doc Adams SS Class and a WW II US Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Jerry Adams Thrasher of the home; son, M.G. Alan Wayne "Bud" Thrasher, US Army Ret. of Yorktown , VA; three daughters, Susan T. Braswell of Coconut Creek, FL, Lanette T. Everly of Helendale, CA and Kim T. Blakely of Lavonia; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.He was preceded in death by a brother, "Frankie" Thrasher and four sisters, Margaret Scott, Jo Nell Cox, Ida Ruth Walters and Louise Mitchell.
Funeral services will be Sunday, April 25th at 2:00 p.m. at the Hartwell First Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Williams, Rev. Carter Tucker and Rev. Mike Dyar.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.The family is at the home.
