Mrs. Irene Belcher Wagster, 81, of Melody Lane, Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at her home.

Born on June 11, 1936 in Bledsoe KY, she was the daughter of the Roscoe Belcher and Allafair Brock Belcher.Mrs. Wagster was Vice-president of Lee Mfg. Co.

She is survived by her husband: John Wagster; her son: Johnie Lee Wagster of Hartwell; two sisters: Margie Howard of Chicago IL and Della Mae Howard of Texas.Mrs. Wagster was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Matt Belcher Sr. and two sisters: Vestina Shell and Ollie Davis.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Jack Findley officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service.Flowers are welcome.
