Mr. Jack B. Edmunds, Sr., 95, formerly of Somerset Court, Hartwell, GA died Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Hart County Hospital.

Born May 29, 1911 in Augusta, GA, he was the son of the late William Oscar Edmunds, Sr., and Irene Gray Edmunds.He was retired from Safeco Insurance Company.He was a former member of Decatur First United Methodist Church for 60 years, and former member of Decatur Lions Club.He was a member of Hartwell First United Methodist Church, former Greeter, Wallace White Sunday School Class, and volunteered in the Church office for many years.

His survivors include:Sons, Jack B. Edmunds Jr. and his wife Barbara of Hartwell, GA and Graham B. Edmunds and his wife Karen of Stone Mountain, GA; Sister, Margaret O'Brien of Decatur, GA; Four grandchildren, Catherine Redfern, Kimberley Bond, Timothy Edmunds and Kirsten Edmunds, and four great grandchildren also survive.He is preceded in death by his wife, Marian Houser Edmunds.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Hartwell First United Methodist Church. Rev. Dr. R. Allen Stewart and Rev. Jim Winn will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
