Mr. Jack Wallingford Farley III, 79, of Hartwell, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at his home.

Born on November 27, 1942 in Atlanta, GA, he was the son of the late Jack Wallingford Farley Jr. and Dorothy Virginia Taylor Farley. Mr. Farley earned an Associate's Degree from Massey Junior College in Atlanta, and was a retired Postmaster for Lavonia and Toccoa. He was also a member of the Reed Creek Baptist Church, as well as an avid water-skier, master diver, woodworker, knife maker, and hunter.

Survivors include his wife: Sandra White Farley of Hartwell; four children: Greg Farley of Hartwell, Stephanie Norris (Ron) of Monroe, GA, Gary Farley (Jody) of Bowersville, and Steve Farley (Sherry) of Demorest, GA; two sisters: Janis Videtto of Roswell, GA, and Jo Long of Conyers, GA; seven grandchildren: Heather, Stacie, Chris, Jordan, Selina, Samantha, Taylor; and seven great grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mr. Jack Farley will be held Sunday, September 4, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Reed Creek Baptist Church with Revs. John Forbes and Eric Boyd officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service. Other times, the family will be at their respective homes.
