Mr. Jacob Scott "Jake" Beard, 28, of Anderson SC, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024 at his home.

Born on April 3, 1995 in Royston, GA, he was the son of Samuel Dawson Beard and Tammy Lisa O'Barr Beard.  Jake attended Milltown Baptist Church. He loved anything electronic and watching movies.

Survivors include his father: Samuel D. Beard of Royston; his mother: Tammy O. Beard of Anderson: two brothers: Kane Beard (Ashley), Elliott Beard (Brittany) all of Royston; one sister: Ann Marie Almond of Anderson; maternal grandmother: Grace Smith of Anderson; three nieces and three nephews. Jake is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: John and Dathon Beard and his maternal grandfather: Wayne Smith.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mr. Jake Beard will be Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Tommy Darraccott officiating.  Burial will be in the Milltown Baptist Church Cemetery.
