Mr. James R. Bledsoe, 63, of Goodwin Lane, Lavonia, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at his home.
Born on August 15, 1951, in Gastonia, NC, he was the son of the late Lessley Bledsoe and Ressie Leatherman Fox.Mr. Bledsoe was a truck driver and of the Church of God Faith. He was of member of the VFW and a United States Marine Corp veteran serving in the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife: Betty Sutton Bledsoe of Lavonia; one son: Jessie J. Bledsoe of Blacksburg, SC; one step-son Gene Vernon of Lavonia; two sisters: Judy Ross of Lowell, NC, Mary Sue McCoig of Stanley, NC; two brothers: Johnny Bledsoe, and Charles Bledsoe both of Stanley, NC.; four grandchildren J. J., Cody, Samantha, and Lane Bledsoe; one step grandchild: Cynthia Burton and one step great-grandchild: Joseph Burton also survive.His best friend George Bowers of Hartwell. Mr. Bledsoe was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Junior Bledsoe.
Memorial services will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Price Chapel Church of God with Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating.
