Obituary
Mr. James Howard "Jim" Bowen, 80, of Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018 at his home.
Born on April 1, 1938 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Albert Ray Bowen and Edna Rowland Bowen. Mr. Bowen was a self-employed auto mechanic.
Survivors include his wife Patsy Clark Bowen of Hartwell; a son: Rodney Bowen of Hartwell; two daughters: Jeanne Troyer of Delray Beach, FL and Patty Brock of Hartwell; two sisters: Clara Glenn of Seneca, SC and Ann Baker of Hartwell; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Mr. Bowen was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Albert Bowen; three brothers: George Bowen, Charles Bowen, and Roy Lee Bowen; and two sisters: Fannie Gaines and Faye Bowen.
A memorial service celebrating Jim's life will be held at a later date by the family.
In lieu of flowers memorials made be made to defray medical and funeral expenses.
The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
