Mr. James Robert Hicks, 70, of 818 B Bailey Rd, Hartwell, died Friday, September 10 at his home.
Born on January 22, 1940 in Orlando FL, he was the son of the late James R. Hicks Sr. and Eva Murray Hicks.He was a retired truck driver and a US Army veteran.
Survivors include a son, David Hicks of Hartwell; two daughters, Dottie Dutton and Debra Hicks both of Hartwell; a brother, John Thomas Hicks of Orlando FL; two sisters, Lillie Jean Henderson of Hartwell and Mildred Harville of Statesboro; four grandchildren and one step-grandchild also survives.He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lucy Jane McCoy Hicks and a brother, Morgan Hicks.
A private memorial service will be held at a late date by the family.
