IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James W.
Hodgson
September 5, 1960 – February 3, 2025
James, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, passed away at home on Monday, February 3, 2025. The cause of his passing is still being looked into, with an autopsy and toxicology report pending.
Born in 1960 in Chicopee, MA, James found joy in simple pleasures. He loved music. He was a fisherman, and his two best friends, Rex and Rover (his loyal dogs), were his constant companions on his fishing trips. His love for the water was something he got from his dad, Bobby, and it was a source of peace for him.
James also had a green thumb and enjoyed helping his mom plant a vegetable garden. He was always excited to harvest what he grew.
James had a great sense of humor. He had a knack for making people laugh and spreading joy, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
James is survived by his sons, Christopher (from his previous marriage to Jan) and Simon (from his previous marriage to Nancy); his mom, Frankie Hodgson; his brother, Robert Hodgson; his sister, Marilyn Harbin; his niece, Sarah Smith; and his nephew, Philip Johns. He was preceded in death by his dad, Bobby Hodgson, and his sister, Brenda Rae Hodgson.
Following his wishes, James's family has chosen cremation, and there will be no formal funeral services. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, who will remember him as a kind, gentle, and humorous man who brought light and laughter into their lives.
James will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. May he rest in PEACE
