Mr. James Randolph "Butch" Norris, 70, of Bowersville, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at his home.
Born on September 14, 1951 in Anderson SC, he was the son of Evelyn Haynie White and the late James Lewis "Shorty" Norris. Mr. Norris was formerly employed at Monroe Auto Equipment for 34 years and a retired electrician for Snyder Electric. He was also a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother: Evelyn White of Hartwell; wife: Martha Sneed "Cricket" Norris; two sons: Jason Tomlinson (Dana) of Cumming, GA and Eric Norris (Alicia) of Hoschton, GA; two daughters: Tracy Borders (Bryan) and Christina Martin (Steven), all of Hartwell; one brother: Calvin Norris of Hartwell; three step-brothers: Glenn Gable (Vickie), Sammy Gable (Teresa), and Terry Gable, all of Anderson; one step-sister: Connie Hanks (Kenneth) of Anderson; brother-in-law: Charles Sneed (Celeste) of Danielsville; and twelve grandchildren: Johnathon, Dalton, Zachary, Saleen, Ethan, Eli, Ryleigh, Sophia, Jackson, Carter, Gage, and Kaylee.
Mr. Norris' body will be placed in sanctuary of the Cross Roads Baptist Church on December 14, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Other times the family will be at the home.
Funeral services for Mr. "Butch" Norris will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cross Roads Baptist Church with Rev. Sean Payne officiating.Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
