Mr. James Luther Stroud, age 60, of Lavonia passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at his home.
Born September 5, 1959 in Royston, he was the son of the late Patrick Henry Stroud, Sr. and Lettie Pearl (Gray) Stroud. He worked in maintenance for Carry on Trailers.
He is survived by his wife: Tina (Frix) Stroud of the home; daughter: Brandie Ann Stroud; stepsons: Jason Cook (George Castrataro), Christopher Cook (Desiree) and Josh Eller; grandchildren: Gavin and Olivia Cook; siblings: Patricia S. West (William), Junior Stroud (Debra), Wanda C. Stroud, Susie Stroud (John Boy Roberts), Mary S. Hayes (Wayne); 9 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister: Lavinia Fowler.
The funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia with Rev. Terry Yearwood officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. At other times the family will be at the home.
