Mr. James Walter Wallace, 75, of Clay Brown Road, Hartwell, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 at his home.

Born on November 24, 1943 in Beatrice Nebraska, he was the son of the late James Walter Wallace Sr. and Irma Svoboda Wallace.Mr. Wallace was a graduate of Southern Tech, a Ham Radio Operator, avid Accordion player and was retired from AT&T and Lucent Technologies.

Survivors include his wife: Ruth Jackson Wallace; a son: Jimmy (Jennifer Leigh) Wallace of Colbert GA; two daughters: Jennifer Thomas of Canton GA and Jackie (Jason) McGinnis of Cumming GA; three grandchildren: Tyler (Melissa) Graham, Halee (Kevin) White and Jordon McGinnis and five great-grandchildren: Lily, Kaydan, Tyson, Addyson and Trace also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.Graveside services will be Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at the Macedonia Memorial Park, Canton GA.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.The family will be at the home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hart County Animal Rescue, PO Box 45, Hartwell GA 30643.
