Mrs. Jamie Clark Lewis, age 48, 165 Peachtree Street, Lavonia, died Monday, September 11, 2006 at her home.
Born November 17, 1958, in Franklin County, she was a daughter of Winston and Coulene (Crowder) Clark. She was the head dietician of the Lavonia Head start Pre-School. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a coordinator for the Lavonia Christmas Parade for 19 years. Mrs. Lewis was also a team mother of the Franklin County High School Football Team. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents; daughter and son-in-law: Allison and Ryan Owensby of Lavonia; sons: Michael Lewis and Myca Ray Richardson-Lewis of the home; sister: Marsha Wells of Pueblo, CO; granddaughter: Katie Rose Owensby of Lavonia; and aunt Virginia Barger of Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her husband: Tony C. Lewis and sister: Wanda Richardson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2006 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Joe Owensby officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North.
The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. At times other than visiting hours the family will be at the home.
