Mrs. Jane Reid Norris, 71, of 43 Opal St., Hartwell, GA, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Hart Co. Hospital.

Born May 30, 1938 in Abbeville, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Matthew Reid and Ellen Purdy Reid. She owned and operated a Day Care out of her home for several years.She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church and Mattie Cobb Sunday School Class.

She is survived by:Daughters, Susan Parham and her husband Phil of Hartwell, GA, Donna Mull and her husband Reggie of Easley, SC, Laura Vickery and her husband Keith of Hartwell, GA and Sheryl Brooks and her husband David of Hartwell, GA; Sisters, Brenda Reed of Lavonia, GA and Ellen Pickens of Anderson, SC; Brother, Jimmy Reid of Royston, GA and Five grandchildren, Brian Bailey, Benjamin, Parham, Connor Brooks, Madelyn Brooks and Lexie Vickery.She is preceded in death by her Parents and Husband, Cecil Rudolph Norris.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cedar Creek Baptist Church.Rev. James Sexton and Rev. Ben Coleman will officiate.Burial will be in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Thursday night from 7 – 9:00 p.m.The family is at the home of David & Sheryl Brooks, 929 Melody Lane, Hartwell, GA.The family requests no flowers; Memorials may be made to Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 3285 Elberton Hwy., Hartwell, GA30643.
