Ms. Janet Joyce Campbell, 76, of 94 Brown Street, Hartwell, died Friday, November 25, 2011 at her home.
Born on February 28, 1935 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Richard M. "Son" Campbell and Mary Wright Campbell.She was a fashion buyer for The May Company and The Boston Stores of Los Angeles, California for 30 years.She was a graduate of Hartwell High School and the University of Georgia, also a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and a member of First Baptist Church of Hartwell.
Survivors include one brother: Cullen Campbell of Hartwell; and two special cousins: Aurelia Campbell and Charles W. Campbell.She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 27, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Carter Tucker officiating.The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.The family is at their respective homes.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Hospice House, 1660 Jennings Mill Road, Bogart, GA 30622.
