Miss Janet Marie Holcomb, 49, of Murray Avenue, Hartwell, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at her home.

Born on April 13, 1964 in Hartwell, GA, she is the daughter of Rita Jarrard Holcomb of Hartwell, and the late James Linton Holcomb.Miss Holcomb attended Young Harris College and the University of Georgia.

Survivors include her mother; two brothers: Jim Holcomb and his companion Cheryl Fletcher of Murfreesboro, TN, David Holcomb and his wife Carolyn of Royston, GA; two sisters: Martha Byram and her husband David of Old Hickory, TN, Betty Butler and her husband Paul of Sugar Hill, GA; three nephews: Brett Butler, Carter Holcomb, and Davis Holcomb; maternal grandmother, Estelle D. Jarrard of Cleveland GA and her beloved dog, Saffy.Miss Holcomb was preceded in death by her father.

Memorial services will be Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Carter Tucker and Rev. Tommy Childress officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm just prior to the service.In lieu of flowers, special memorials may be made to Hartwell First Baptist Church, 81 E. Howell Street, Hartwell, GA30643.
