Ms. Janice Johnston Burrow, 73, of Bowersville Road, Bowersville, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Thrive Assisted Living, Watkinsville, GA.

Born on August 27, 1945 in Rome GA, she was the daughter of the late John Elwood Johnston and Lula Fay "Luke" (Weaver) Johnston. Ms. Burrow was retired from Efficient Lights and was a member of the Flat Shoals Baptist Church and WMU.

Survivors include two daughters: Cindy Herring (Adam) of Hartwell GA and Stacey Holt (Marc) of Commerce GA; one son: Eric Burrow (Becky) of Clinton, SC; a sister: Polly Willis of Dalton GA; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild also survives.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Other times the family will be at the home of her daughter: Cindy & Adam Herring, 152 Hidden Point Road, Hartwell.

A memorial service celebrating Janice's life will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Cory Pulliam and Rev. Connie Ivester officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 105 West Park Drive, Suite C, Athens GA 30606 or to the Royston City Library.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
