Janice Marie Moorhead Vickery, age 82, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 at Pruitt Health in Toccoa following an extended illness.

Born March 6, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Tom Watson and Mary Nell Adams Moorhead.  Before retirement she worked for the Department of Family and Children's Services. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Lavonia; she served as church pianist for over 50 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Brent Vickery and sister & brother-in-law: Jackie & Wilton "Punk" Morgan.

She is survived by her husband: Billy Vickery; grandson: Ethan Vickery; brother: Mike Moorhead.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John Forbes officiating. Burial will follow in Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the service.
