Janice Elaine Davis Wooten, age 73, of Lavonia, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, at her home.
Born May 7, 1952, in Royston, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Edna Poole Bratcher Davis. Janice loved going to flea markets and antique shops, she also loved watching birds, gardening and poodles. Mrs. Wooten was the owner of Antiques & Things and prior to Antiques & Things she was owner of Floyd's Flowers. She was a member of Lavonia First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband: Forrest "Tot" Edmond Wooten; children: Tosha Wooten Herrington (Jared), Jerry King (Jodi) & Todd Wooten (Christie); grandchildren: JanciLayne, Jaxten, Jessah Herrington, Hilary King Ray (Johnny), Addison King, Eryn Sealey, Eliza Sealey, Sawyer & Finn Wooten, Grant Wooten (Autumn), Liz Oakley-Wooten Adams (Galen); siblings: Judy Dove (Andy), Jeff Davis (Wanda); close nieces: MeriBeth Davis McNeill (Jess), Harleigh Dove Long (Mason), JoAnna Davis Malcom (Alex) & Gina Cobb Burns (Kelly).
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Lavonia First Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Chitwood and Dr. Larry Finger officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Lavonia City-Burgess Cemetery.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Rodney Andrews, Russell Bratcher, Keith Holland, Jerry King, Mason Long, & Alex Malcom.
