Mrs. Janie C. Edwards Ethridge, 79, of Parkdale Drive, Hartwell, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born on March 6, 1939 in Greer, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Arthur Edwards and Ella Ruth McCurry Edwards.Mrs. Ethridge was a homemaker and a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons: Stacey Davis (Cheryl) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Robert Steenstra (Cathy) of Alexandria, VA; two daughters: Sandee Byrd of Richmond, VA, Debra Ethridge (Dave Davis) of Hartwell; one sister: Patricia Davis of Greer, SC; nine grandchildren: Logan Davis, Wyatt Davis, Meghan Steenstra, Julia Steenstra, Jamie Cooper, Harli Shirley, Jordan Lincoln, Devin Lincoln, Kasi Lincoln; six great-grandchildren: Bella, Tinsley, Mara, Hoss, Melody and Braden. Mrs. Ethridge was preceded in death by her first husband: James Steenstra, and second husband: Billy E. Ethridge.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.Burial will be in the Wood Memorial Park, in Greer, SC, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 11:00 am.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday morning prior to the service.The family will be at their respective homes.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1543 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643 .
