Mr. James Edward "Jay" Hickman, 40, of 401 Dovetown Road Apartment #1, Royston, died Sunday, January 13 at his home.

Born on June 15, 1972 in Royston, GA, he is the son of Joyce Holmes Hickman and the late Joel Hickman.He was a member of the Faith Valley Tabernacle Holiness Church.

Survivors include his mother; four sisters: Joy Suttles and Julie Herrington, both of Royston, Sherry Scarborough of Elberton, and Barbara Hudgens of Anderson, SC.Mr. Hickman was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Daniel Hickman.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Faith Valley Tabernacle Holiness Church with Rev. Hubert Carter, Rev. Betty Keys, and Rev. Bobby Joe Allen officiating.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to defray funeral expenses.
