Mr. John Collier "J.C." Craft, 92, of Collier Road, Hartwell, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Brookdale Assisted Living of Hartwell.

Born on October 26, 1924 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late William Collier Craft and Ruby Caroline Perry Craft.Mr. Craft was retired from Celanese Corporation, a member of the Nancy Hart Masonic Lodge # 690, Yarrab Temple Shrine and a lifetime member of the VFW.He was also a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Men's One SS Class and a WW II U.S. Army veteran, serving in the European Theater.

Survivors include four sons: Stephen Craft (Diane) of Greenville SC, Charles Craft (Tess) of Lexington Park MD, Michael Craft (Carmen) of Greer SC and Ed Craft (Melissa) of Lexington SC; a brother: Alton Craft of Hartwell; two sisters: Sybil Ruth Bragg of Greenville SC and Zelphia Gail Coker of Starr SC; five grandchildren: Jason Craft, Joshua Craft, Justin Craft, Carley Craft and Jasmine Craft also survive.Mr. Craft was preceded in death by his wife: Caroline Garland Burley Craft; three brothers: Paul Craft, Hershel Craft and Hugh Craft and two sisters: Mary Dale and Ida Craft.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Baptist Church.The family is at their respective homes.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1543 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643.
