Mr. J.C. Dutton, 75, of 204 Deep Woods Road, Hartwell, died Thursday, July 16, 2015 at his home.

Born on October 28, 1939 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Arthur Dutton and Mary Lou Smith Dutton. Mr. Dutton was a farmer, Hart County school bus driver, and Nancy Hart Elementary School janitor.

Survivors include his wife: Wilene Lunsford Dutton; four sons: Stevie Dutton & Yvonne of Hartwell, Ronald Dutton & Marcia of Hartwell, Carey Dutton & Robin of Dewy Rose, GA, and Scott Dutton & Candice of Hartwell; two daughters: Wanda Saxon & Bounce of Carlton, GA, and Joyce Laviolette & Audie of Hartwell; two sisters: Sue Ray Pearson & Rufus of Royston and Martha Ann Whitsel & Leon of Royston; fifteen grandchildren: Staci Ocampo & Victor, Kim Souza & Rocky, Jennifer Davis & Johnathan, Kayci Saxon & Mackensie Wade, Kenneth Dutton & Melissa, Matthew Dutton & Amber, Justin Dutton & Kimberly, Sommer Dutton, Christopher Teasley, Corey Dutton, Gracie Dutton, Hanna Mitchell & Bobby, Garrett Laviolette, Sierra Dutton, and Conner Dutton; thirteen great grandchildren; and many adored and loved nieces and nephews. Mr. Dutton was preceded in death by one daughter: Carolyn Ann Dutton; and four brothers: James Dutton, Thomas Dutton, Wayne Dutton, and Paul Edward Dutton.

Funeral services will be Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Kennith Martin and Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating.Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday evening. The family is at the home of Joyce & Audie Laviolette, 2859 Whippoorwill Trail, Hartwell, GA 30643. Memorials may be made to help to defray funeral and medical expenses.
