Mr. J. C. Jordan Jr., 82, of Hart Terrace, Hartwell, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024 at his daughter's home in Dahlonega GA.

Born on January 18, 1942 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late James C. Jordan and Lovie Burns Jordan.  Mr. Jordan was a former Warp Hand for Clark Schwebel in Anderson SC and a member of the Hartwell Church of God.

Survivors include his five children: Tammy Jordan Smith of Taylors SC, Bridgett Jordan Hughes (Bobby) of Dahlonega GA, Elaine Sparks Abbeville SC, Billy Jordan of Danielsville GA and Mike Jordan (Debra) of Eastanollee GA; one brother: Kendall Jordan and one sister: Louise Christian (Boyce) all of Hartwell; eleven grandchildren: Adam Fleeman (Jill), Ashley Morris, Nick Fleeman (Ashley), Holly Evans, Miranda Gilstrap, Josh Jordan, Cheyenne Jordan, Chris Jordan (Lisa), Alan Jordan (Mishell) Jenna Sparks and Jonathan Bowie; eighteen great-grandchildren: Emily Fleeman, Sara Fleeman, Jordan Morris, Landon Morris, Copelyn Schwind, Wyatt Fleeman, Ja'Kyia Sparks, Jordynn Williams, Abbygail Bowie, Gracie Jordan, Ollis Mack, Jaden Gandee Jordan, Autum Gandee, Little Chris Jordan, Keelan Jordan, Brandon Jordan, Trenton Jordan and Leah Fleeman.

Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Barbara Ann Segars Jordan; four brothers: Terry Jordan, Billy Jordan, Larry Jordan and Kenneth Jordan and one sister: Janelle Jordan.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mr. J. C. Jordan will be Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Lonnie Bennett and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.  Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
