Mrs. Jean Crowe Ayers, 87, of Oakcrest Drive, Hartwell, died Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.

Born on March 7, 1927 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late John Crowe and Emily Cznecki Crowe.She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ayers is survived by several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband George Thomas Ayers; two brothers: John Crowe and James Crowe; and one sister Adele Crowe.

Memorial services will be Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Jim Olds officiating.
