Sylvia Jean Blackwell, age 77, of Lawrenceville, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 at Northside Hospital.

Born May 28, 1945, in Lenoir, NC, she was the daughter of the late Otis and Hattie Pope Sparks. Before retirement she worked as a Tax Advisor for H & R Block. Mrs. Blackwell was a member of 12Stone Church in Lawrenceville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children: Earnest Jackson Passmore; and brothers: Kenny, Ray and Michael Sparks.

She is survived by her children: Ron Passmore & Marge, Tim Passmore & Jenny, Sharon Betzhold, Lisa Smith & Mike; grandchildren: Malarie Hancock, Jeremy Betzhold, Alex Burch, Holley Lackey, Amberlee Passmore, Lindsay Jansen, Brittany Passmore, Denver Elliott, Emily Passmore, Brittany Smith, Ryan Betzhold; brothers: Jimmy Sparks and Jerry Sparks and 10 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023 at New Vision Worship Center 335 L. C. Turner Road Baldwin, GA 30511.
