Imogene "Jean" Dodd Branch, age 94, of Lavonia, passed away peacefully at Hartwell Healthcare & rehabilitation after an extended illness.

Born October 24, 1930, in Cordele, she was a daughter of the late Glen George Dodd and Lorena Patterson Dodd. She retired from Hasty's Radio & TV as the secretary and bookkeeper. She moved to Lavonia in the late 1990s and became an active member of the Lavonia First United Methodist Church, as well as the Red Hat Society, and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Despite her many commitments, Jean's favorite roles were that of a devoted mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Branch; son, Steven Branch, and sisters, Cornelia Dodd Black and Marvella Dodd Garriss.

She is survived by her daughter, Cecelia (Joseph) Davis; son, David (Lynette) Branch ; brother-in-law, George Garriss; granddaughters, Tasha (Greg) King, Emily (Andrew) Lofstrand, Jennifer Branch, Jennifer (Nick) Barton, and Beth (James) Plunkett ; great grandchildren, Amelia King, Brianna King, Finn Lofstrand, Madelyn Lofstrand, Sarah Lofstrand, Tyler King, and Andrew King; and great-great granddaughter, Cora Hopkins.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ben Wilcox officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.

The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2025 at Tift Memorial Gardens, 1754 US Highway 82, Tifton, GA 31794.
