Mrs. Jean Evans Gaines, 66, loving wife of Bobby Gaines; loving mother of son, Jim Gaines and Lauren; daughter, Traci & David Hornick; son, Dan & Michelle Gaines and loving grandmother of Jon & Hayley Hornick, Joshua, Jeremiah & Makensie and Hannah Gaines went to be with the lord on Thursday, June 23, 2016 after a brief illness.

She was born on November 15, 1949 in Anderson SC to the late Otis and Martha Reid Evans and was the daughter-in-law of Louise White Gaines and the late Vandiver Gaines.

Mrs. Gaines is survived by her immediate family and her brothers, Junior "Coconut" & Theresa Evans and Tim & Leisa Evans.

Graveside services will be Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bryce Behnke and Rev. Steve Patton officiating.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the Church fellowship hall.The family is at their respective homes.In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local Humane Society.
