Mrs. Jean Blair Wright, 88, of Starr SC, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson SC.

Born on September 13, 1929 in Elberton GA, she was the daughter of the late John Ralph Blair and Lucille Echols Blair.Mrs. Wright was a retired machine operator from the textile industry. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Red Hat Society and Gethsemane Baptist Temple, Starr SC.

Survivors include two daughters: Pat Fuller (Tommy) of Anderson SC, Cindy Crocker (Keith) of Belton SC; two grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband: Sidney William "Sid" Wright, Sr; three sons: Sidney William Wright, Jr., Danny Lee Wright, and Timothy Wright; one granddaughter: Leslie Chamblee; two brothers: Benjamin Pope Blair, Charles Dillard Blair and three sisters: Katie B. Fleming, Betty Ruth Blair and Elsie Adams.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Burial will be in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening.The family is at their respective homes.
