Mrs. Jeanette Rousey Fowler, 75, of Belva Lane, Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson SC.
Born on May 19, 1943 in Comer GA, she was the daughter of the late Henry Melvin Rousey and Frances Pauline Shaw Rousey. Mrs. Fowler was a retired seamstress from the Hartwell Company and attended New Prospect Baptist Church.
Survivors include three brothers: James A. Rousey (Cynthia), Roger Rousey (Opal) all of Iva, SC, Paul Rousey (Betty) of Anderson; a special sister-in-law: Kathy Fowler McElreath. Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Winford "Buster" Fowler; three brothers: Gene Rousey, J.W. Rousey, Wendell Rousey; three sisters: Carolyn Phillips, Waydean Borders and Frances Guest.
A memorial service celebrating Jeanette's life will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Tim Adams officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell prior to the service.The family is at their respective homes. Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the Hart County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1062, Hartwell, GA 30643.
