Mrs. Jean LeCroy "Jeanie" Franklin, 92, of Brookhaven Road, Charlotte NC, formerly of Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte NC.

Born on December 20, 1926 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Charles LeCroy and Vesta Fleming LeCroy.Mrs. Franklin was retired from the State of North Carolina Superior Court System and was a homemaker.She participated at the Tyvola Senior Center, helped with Adventures in Learning at the Sheppard Center and attended the Southpark United Methodist Church and the Harvesters at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Charlotte NC.

Survivors include a son: Robert E. "Butch" Franklin (Pat) of Charlotte NC; a daughter: Debbie Griffith (Dan) of Spartanburg SC; a daughter-in-law: Robin Franklin of Charlotte NC; two brothers: Alton LeCroy of Portsmouth RI and Leonard LeCroy of Charleston SC; a sister: Sarah Bond of Silver Springs MD; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Franklin was preceded in death by her husband: Robert E. "Bob" Franklin Sr.; a son: Mark Franklin; four brothers: Howard LeCroy, Andy LeCroy, Pete LeCroy and Charles LeCroy and five sisters: Emma Snow, Ruth Blalock, Mae Gibson, Blanche Scoggins and JoAnne LeCroy.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Nancy Miller-Campbell officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Southpark United Methodist Church Building Fund, PO Box 470943, Charlotte NC 28247 or to the charity of one's choice.
