Obituary
On 22 January, Jeannette realized GOD'S assurance of a home in Heaven and exchanged her beautiful but failing earthly body for a new body promised to those who love and glorify HIM.
The departure of Jeannette's soul has left us saddened – an empty but painful ache in our hearts.Heaven celebrated her choice, and those of us left behind who know and love her do also, although with tears in our eyes. Yet, if we know and love GOD, the pain should be replaced by peace and the tears of sadness become tears of joy, knowing that we will join her in Heaven when GOD finally calls us to HIM.
Jeannette was born in Beatrice NE on June 12, 1942 to Paul M. and Velma Frederick Fitzwater.After living at several locations on this globe, Jeannette was led by GOD to Hartwell GA in 1995.Though the worldly reason for the move was to establish a chocolate-candy and gift basket business, Heavenly Treats & Treasures, the divine goal was to reacquaint her with GOD. It also meant that she was here to meet and marry another drifting Christian whom GOD finally drew to Hartwell.Their love for each other and GOD is another testimony that HIS way is always the best.GOD IS GREAT!Jeannette was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church and the Couples II Sunday School Class.
Going before Jeannette to Heaven were her parents and sister, Shangra-La Sherie.She is survived by her loving husband Allen of Hartwell, and loving and loved family of sister: Marlene Fitzwater and brother-in-law Robert Desaeger of Sacramento CA; sister: Avery Sanger of Springfield MO; four nephews: Richard, Kevin, James and Paul; one niece: Anisa and four loved nieces-in-laws.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Meeks and Rev. Joe Black officiating.Burial will be in Fair Play SC.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.The family is at the home.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, 1000 Center Place, Norcross GA 30093.
