Mrs. Laura Jeannette Sanders Marett, 68, of Beacon Light Road, Hartwell, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at her home.

Born on April 19, 1948 in Royston GA, she was the daughter of the late William Homer Sanders Jr. and Eleanor Vickery Sanders.Mrs. Marett was retired from Cobb-Vantress and was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband: William T. "Bill" Marett Jr; a daughter: Angela Weaver and her husband Donald of Hartwell; two sons: Tommy Marett and his wife Jolynn of Hartwell and Eddie Marett and his companion Sara Uhler of Canon; a sister: Alice Cobb and her husband Dennis of Bowersville; a brother: Larry Sanders and his wife Cricket of Hartwell and two grandchildren: Cole Marett and Jordan Weaver.Mrs. Marett was preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Rosemary Sanders.

Funeral services will be Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Steve Patton officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening.The family is at the home.
