Mr. Jeffrey Glenn Herring, 52, of 209 River Valley Drive, Hartwell, died Thursday, March 1, 2012 at his home.
Born on July 4, 1959 in Anderson SC, he was the son of Glenn Anderson Herring and Jan Rowland Herring.He was a member of the Milltown Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents; one sister, Kim Cantrell of Cumming GA; a niece, Morgan Waters and her husband Zach; a nephew, Nick Cantrell; a special friend, Susan Morgan and a special cousin, Ann Marie Almond. Mr. Herring was preceded in death by his grandparents: Elmer and Lucy Snow Rowland and Joel and Marie Edwards Herring.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Milltown Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Jones and Rev. Ray Black officiating.Burial will follow in the Milltown Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.The family is at the home of Jan Herring, 178 Gloria Drive, Hartwell, GA. Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to Athens Area Homeless Shelter, 620 Barber Street, Athens, GA30601 or Childhood Autism Foundation, 1551 Shoup Court, Decatur GA 30033
