Jeffery Brian Mattox, age 67, of Lavonia, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at his home.

Born March 16, 1954, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Eugene and Myrtle (Johnson) Mattox. He was a self-employed painting and remodeling contractor. Jeff loved to work with his hands, especially woodworking, and was a life-long learner. He was an avid gardener and was of the Christian faith.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years: Julie Kathleen Mattox; sons & daughters-in-law: Scott & Kelly Mattox and Jeffery & Marissa Mattox; grandchildren: Alden Mattox, Anna Mattox, Emilie Mattox, and Aubrey Mattox; and siblings: Jerry Mattox (Sue), Pam Neiser (Albert Torres), and Nick Jaksich (Lyn).

The family will hold a celebration of his life at a later date and respectfully request that no flowers be sent. Jeff was cremated in accordance with his request.
