Mr. Jeffrey Ray Ayers, 50, died tragically in a fire at his home Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in Athens, GA.
Born on October 9, 1963 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of Alton Ayers and Sara Vickery Ayers. He was employed with Ford Motor Credit Company as a credit representative. He as a member of the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: his parents; three sisters: Rae Guthrie and her husband Larry of Athens, Vickie Wurst and her husband Randy of Augusta, and Patti Daniel and her husband Craig of Germany; eleven nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Kathleen Deegan-Neal officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday at Liberty Hill United Methodist Church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. The family is at their respective homes.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to Liberty Hill United Methodist Church, 1489 Liberty Hill Church Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
