Miss Jennifer Autumn Cobb, 20, of Morris Road, Hartwell, went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, June 30, 2021.
Born on January 18, 2001 in Anderson SC, she was the daughter of Wayne D. Cobb and Susan Moon Cobb.When Jennifer was younger, she enjoyed babysitting and swimming.As she got older she enjoyed camping, water skiing, snow skiing, hiking, spending time at the ocean and playing her guitar.Jennifer loved gymnastics, she competed in the Junior Olympics at the local, state and regional levels.She was a Pharmacy Tech at CVS in Washington and Elberton and took care of horses and show dogs for people.She formerly attended the Sardis Baptist Church and attended the Impact Church and their youth groups.
Survivors include her parents: Wayne and Susan Cobb of Hartwell; a brother: Austin Cobb of Hartwell; her maternal grandmother: Shirley S. Moon of Hartwell and several aunts and uncles and cousins.Jennifer was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Spurgeon and Drucie H. Cobb; maternal grandfather: Leonard Shirley Moon; two uncles: Mike Moon and Jessie Cobb; an aunt: Sylvia Dyer and her dog: Abby Gail.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Others times the family will be at the home.
A service celebrating Jennifer's life will be Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Pastor Nick Rucker officiating.Jennifer will be cremated after her service and an outdoor celebration service will be held at a later date.
Our community is having a candlelight vigil in honor of Jennifer Cobb in downtown Hartwell, at the courthouse at 7:30pm on Friday, July 9th. Please bring a candle.
We are holding this vigil in the hopes of receiving Justice for Jennifer Cobb, to bring attention and educate others about child molestation, and offer help and hope to victims and families. Please join us on July 9th as we honor Jennifer.
