Mr. Jeremy Thomas Carey, 48, of Hartwell, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025 at AnMed Medical Center, Anderson SC.

Born on November 15, 1976 in Royston GA, he was the son of Larry David Carey and Barbara Ann Floyd Carey.  Jeremy was a setup operator at Sonoco of Hartwell and of the Church of God faith.

Jeremy was a well-known Air Brush Artist, where his work has been seen in several magazines and won numerous awards.  He was a loving husband, father, son, brother & friend.

Survivors include his parents: Larry and Barbara Carey of Hartwell; his wife: Brandi Rice Carey; a son; Christian Carey of Hartwell; a daughter: Faith Carey of Hartwell; a sister: Joy C. Stallings (Jeff) of Franklin GA; father-in-law: Dale Rice (Annette) of Colbert GA; mother-in-law: Beth Epps (Dwayne) of Canon GA; two sister-in-law's: Bridget Hawks (Shane) of Danielsville GA and Anna Kitchen (Bradley) of Americus GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mr. Jeremy Carey will be Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Thomas Moon, Rev. Ryan Moon and Rev. Luther Thomason officiating.  Burial will be in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
