Mr. Jerome Laurence, 87, of New Hope Rd, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.

Born on October 12, 1934 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late John and Genevieve Nowocien. Mr. Laurence was a self-employed carpenter and builder, and was of the Catholic faith. He was also a veteran of US Navy where he served for 21 years and was a Navy Diver.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Laurence of Hartwell.

It was Mr. Laurence's wishes to be cremated and there are no formal services planned at this time.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
