Mr. Jerry Paul Haygood, 68, of Plumnellie Ave., Bowman, died Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at his home.

Born on October 25, 1946 in Carnesville, he was the son of the late Russ Oliver Haygood and Annie Ruth Segars Haygood.He was a retired machine operator from Tenneco Automotive Equipment Company.Mr. Haygood was a member of the Sharon Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife: Linda Brown Haygood; two sons: Rodney Haygood of North Little Rock, AR, Elliot Haygood of Hartwell; three grandchildren: Courtni Haygood, Jack Haygood, and Caroline Haygood; two brothers: Johnny Haygood of Toccoa, Donald Haygood of Hartwell; and one sister: Ruth Chatham of Carnesville also survive.Mr. Haygood was preceded in death by six brothers: Lam Haygood, Frank Haygood, Billy Haygood, Robert Haygood, Kenneth Haygood, James Haygood; and one sister: Sara Williford.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.The family is at the home.
