Jerry Clyde Jones, age 83, of Hartwell, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 at Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta.

Born September 15, 1940, in Atlanta, he was the son of the late William Clyde Jones and Faye Hinkle Heath.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jones of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Angie & Donnie Duke; sons & daughters-in-law, Scott & LaJuan Jones, Neil & Lynne Jones, Tim & Kristen Bland, and Todd & Laura Bland; grandchildren, Kyle & Casie Duke, Kayla and Justin Carpenter, and Korey Duke, Dustin & Karen Jones, Melissa & Russell Wilkinson, Analiese & Kyle Stopek, Joshua & Dale Jones, Jacob & Mikaela Jones, and Lauren, Skylar, Gabe, and Connor Bland; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Kay McCall; and brother, Dennis & Karen Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mike Jones.

Jerry's wishes were to be cremated with no service or visitation. The families will be at their respective homes.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
