William Jerry Kay, age 65, of Lavonia, passed away May 2, 2023 at AnMed Health in Anderson, SC.

He was born July 9, 1957, in Stephens County, the son of Geraldine Segars Bridges and the late Ben Kay, Jr. He was a graduate of Stephens County High School and was of the Church of God faith.

He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Bridges; daughter: Derin Jeri; grandchildren: Bentley Williams and Nevaeh Bridges; brothers: Brian (Emily) Kay, Jeff (Mandy) Kay, Benjamin (Nicole) Kay, and Larry Seals; aunts: Rillajean Hornick and Linda Edwards; and cousins: Ricky Harrison, Cindy Mitchell, Benji Hornick, and Rod Lodan. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by uncle: Marvin Kay; and aunts: Ruby Harrison and Martha Lodan.

A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia.
