Obituary
Mr. Jerry W. Mauldin, age 56, of 2950 Stonebridge Road, Lavonia, died Friday, June 1, 2007 at Appling County Hospital.
Born December 6, 1950, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Guy and Dorothy Lewis Mauldin. He worked in sales and engineering with Load Star for 31 Years. Mr. Mauldin was an active member of the Lavonia First Baptist Church and the Jerry Byrd Sunday School Class. He served in the US Army Reserves.
Survivors include his parents; wife: Debra Mauldin; son: Andrew Guy Mauldin of Lavonia; daughter: Christie Mauldin Haselden of Canon; brother: Jimmy Mauldin of Lavonia; sister: Sandra Whitlock of Acworth; and grandchildren: Jordis and Everett Haselden.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2007 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with the Revs. Chris Chitwood and Mike Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Lavonia City Cemetery. Load Star employees and the Jerry Byrd Sunday School Class will serve as honorary escorts. The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the funeral home 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
