Mr. Jerry Dean Murray, 78, of Toccoa, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.

Born on January 21, 1944 in Toccoa, GA, he was the son of the late Ralph L. Murray and Etta Anderson Murray. Mr. Murray was a former auditor for Electrolux and formerly worked for the Stephens County Tax Assessors Office. He was also a volunteer member of the Stephens County Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, and a member of The Pointe Church in Toccoa.

Survivors include his brother: Danny Murray (Ann) of Hartwell; four sisters: Bea Collins of Columbia, SC, Rose Kesler of Toccoa, Louise Rudeseal (Rev. Robert) of Cornelia, GA, Kathy Richardson (Tommy) of Hartwell; and numerous nieces & nephews. Mr. Murray is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Patricia Mosley Murray; three brothers: Albert, Robert, and Thomas Murray; and one sister: Maudie Sue Elrod

It was Jerry's wishes to be cremated and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Highpoint Community Worship Center with Revs. Warren Lewis and Phillip Murray officiating. Highpoint Community Worship Center is located at the corner of Highpoint Ave. and Davis Ave. His ashes will be buried in the Stephens Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon following the service.Other times the family will be at their respective homes.
