Obituary
Mr. Marvin Jerry Pruett, 77, of Shoal Creek Road, Lavonia, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at Brown Health & Rehab, Royston.
Born on September 9, 1941 in VA, he was the son of the late Raymond Pruett and Lola Fortson Pruett. Mr. Pruett worked in the drywall industry and was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Mr. Pruett was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Sheila Brooks Pruett; four brothers: Raymond Pruett, Gene Pruett, William Pruett, Joseph Pruett and one sister: Vally Martinelli.
A memorial service celebrating Jerry's life will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at the Destiny Fellowship, 73 Depot St., Canon,with Rev. Paul Hood and Rev. Tammy Hood officiating.
The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
