Mr. Jerry Andrew Rowland, Sr., 74, of 312 Shady Hill Road, Hartwell, GA, died Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at Hart County Hospital.

Born October 4, 1932 in Hart County, Georgia, he was the son of the late William Andrew Rowland and Lettie Mae Mauldin Rowland.He was retired from Monroe Automotive as the Planning Manager.He was a member and Past commander of the VFW #8076.He was a U.S. Air Force Korean War Veteran.

His survivors include:Sons, Jerry A. Rowland, Jr., of Hartwell, GA, Freddy Rowland of Charleston, SC and Zain Rowland of Hartwell, GA; Daughters, Michelle Stone of Bowman, GA, Rita Ann Pasquin of Charleston, SC, Melissa Stone of Hartwell, GA and Myra Zollner of Elberton, GA; Brothers, Joe Rowland of Hartwell, GA and Pete Rowland of Hartwell, GA; Sister, Doris Jean Brown of Columbia, SC,Nephews raised in the home, Randall, Larry and Wayne Rowland, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.He is preceded in death by Parents and a Brother, Billy Jim Rowland.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. from the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Hartwell.Rev. Curtis Parker will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends Friday night from 6 to 8:00 p.m.The family is at the home.
