Mrs. Jeraldine Adams "Jerry" Thrasher, 83, of 2910 Ridge Rd, Hartwell, died April 13th, 2012 at the Hart Care Center in Hartwell, Georgia.
Born in Iva, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Roy and Ottie Mae Adams.She was retired from the Hartwell Mills, a member of the Hartwell First Baptist Church, Willing Workers SS Class and the Pine Tree Garden Club of Hartwell.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Inman Wayne "Cootie" Thrasher, and survivors include; son, M.G. Alan Wayne "Bud" Thrasher, US Army Ret. of Yorktown, VA; three daughters, Susan T. Braswell of Coconut Creek, FL, Lanette T. Everly of Helendale, CA, and Kimberly T. Blakely of Hoschton, GA; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and her late son-in-law, Tommy R. Blakely and her great-granddaughter,Annabelle Kimberly RogersShe is survived by her only sister, Juanita Simpson of Anderson.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 16th at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Carter Tucker and Rev. Mike Dyar officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.The family is at the home. Donations may be sent in lieu of flowers to Parkinson or Cancer Research Foundations or any charity of one's choice.
