Mr. Gerald "Jerry" Lewis Vaughan, Sr., 53, of Persimmon Drive, Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at his home.

Born on May 26, 1962 in Atlanta, GA, he was the son of the late Norris Preston Vaughan and Elizabeth Phillips Vaughan.Mr. Vaughan was an equipment operator and a US Army veteran.

Survivors include his son: Jerry Vaughan of Hartwell; one brother: Tony Andretti of OK; two sisters: Terry Knott of Lavonia and Jannie Bullard of Opp, AL.Mr. Vaughan was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be Saturday, December 12, 2015, 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Gary Hulsey officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the service.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
